In order to control the noise levels at the Mohammed VI Library and to ensure that all patrons can study or work in an environment that suits their purposes, the M6L has introduced a system in which each space has a designated noise level.
All library users should respect the rights of others and refrain from making excessive noise while using the library.
Library users are expected to abide by the following guidelines:
Quiet Talking Space: Please speak quietly in these areas and bring your headphones.
Silent Study Space: Help us keep these areas silent, for students who need a quiet space to concentrate.
Talking Space: These areas are designated for group work or where you can talk at a normal level with colleagues.
When the students' behavior does not conform to the noise levels or is otherwise disruptive, they will be given a verbal warning.
After an initial warning, library users will be directed to pay 100MAD* (increasing by an additional 100MAD for each success violation) and to leave the library for reasons including, but not limited to:
*NB: Fines can be either deducted from the Cash wallet or from the student’s Balance.
