This course is an introductory survey of the major content areas and
theoretical models of psychology emphasizing the scientific approach to
critically understand human behavior. Throughout the course, behavior is
examined as the product of interaction between our biology, our culture, and our unique individual abilities. Students gain understanding of human
development, consciousness, learning, memory, intelligence, emotions, and
personality, among other main foci of psychology.
