Introduction

This course provides an overview of the ongoing situation in the Middle East with several countries experiencing demonstrations demanding more political freedom and economic opportunity. It will provide a better understanding of the current challenges and transformations in the Middle East by focusing on the role played by the superpower that is the United States.
