This course aims to provide students with a broad understanding of the field of entrepreneurship from both a theoretical and practical perspective. Although there are many definitions of entrepreneurship, essentially it is a way of thinking, reasoning and acting that is focused on identifying opportunities and then marshaling the necessary resources to take advantage of those opportunities. Drawing on ideas from sociology, psychology and economics we will discuss issues having to do with new business creation, intrapreneurship, organizational change, and factors that may foster/hinder entrepreneurship.
