Corporate Finance covers every decision a firm makes that may affect its finances. The key objective of this course is to cover basic principles of corporate finance. The course emphasizes the conceptual framework and principles of financial management for business organizations. The course begins with basic concepts focusing on the firm’s economic environment, forms of business ownership, time value of money, valuation of bonds, and valuation of stocks. It then shows how specific techniques and decisions rules can be used to help maximize the value of the firm. The course also covers material on risk, risk management, capital structure, divided policies, mergers, and corporate governance.
